Bill Hager praises Legislature for interesting policy reforms It was a dramatic ending to a session that brought about everyday materials innovative policy reforms our state has seen in decades. The voters spoke in december; They said that state administration must reign in spending, Eliminate fraud and cut wasteful programs through the board. I am proud to have worked with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to manufacture a balanced budget while not raising taxes of Floridians one cent. Being a freshmen person in the legislature, I was impressed by the high quality reforms that we made it possible to pass in a 60 day session, Fixing some of our state's most complex issues. It was clear from the day this legislature was sworn in that we would not continue to simply kick the can the next day when it came to dealing with our state's most pressing problems. We tackled tort reform issues in an attempt to rid our state of frivolous lawsuits and make Florida more business friendly; The state's Medicaid system was revamped in order to crack down on fraud and ensure patients acquire the best care available; We passed significant education reform ensuring that our students receive a world class education and are ready to compete in the global marketplace; After much discussion and cooperation, Law was passed to combat the pill mill epidemic plaguing our communities; Florida individuals will see relief in the form of $30 million in corporate income tax cuts that passed with bipartisan support. Having officially served my first legislative session as the symbolic from House District 87, I can now say that I am more optimistic about the future of our state than any other time. The legislature truly is a collaborative body where teamwork is the secret weapon to success. I am proud to represent the constituents of House District 87 and anticipate hearing their thoughts on the 2011 session, As well as what they need to accomplish next session. What are the Florida legislature"Proficient" Is an being embarrassed. They have proved us that the NRA can squelch free speech between a doctor and a patient. They've doomed children to living without food/money by aggravating drug tests for welfare. They've cut redundancy(All $275 a week than me) To as low as 13 weeks in order to give their buddies a tax break. They turned development control back over to the same people that we've been sending to jail recent years years. They made a farce of the classsize amendment and cut funding to schools and keep tax breaks for private jets and corporate suites at stadiums. They are trying to warp government itself by changing the top court oh and they created a fund so they could jam redistricting favorable to them adidas ACE 17+ Purecontrol FG - All Black down our throats and through the courts. They turned healthcare for the poor over to companies that just deny claims and milk huge profits. The only good thing could be that the session ended and they couldn't commit even more evil acts.
