Written in the 1980s with Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren, Fashion Beast started as a screenplay for a film that never saw the light of day. After floating around for over twenty years, Avatar Press decided it would be a good idea to have Antony Johnston adapt it for comics. I can’t say that it was a bad idea.

The world that these people inhabit is dark, the world is obviously a vain one, and Percio truly nails that feeling. Obviously, the creators were trying to get a point across with so little dialogue in the first issue, and it really works well. You learn a lot about the characters by watching them in their everyday lives.
