Fezzes and other fashion finds from Tiki Oasis 9

Hypervenom nike much to the chagrin of my editing troika, I bolted out of the office early on Friday to get to Tiki Oasis 9 in time for the Tiki fashion show included in the evening lineup.

It was exactly the type of thing you expect lots of floral print shirts, alohainspired dresses and bathing suits (this year theme was “Surf City, after all).

What I hadn expected were the fezzes that seemed to be as common as Tribbles at a “Star Trek” convention. (It such a rare choice in head gear, until today I wasn even sure how to conjugate the plural version.) Turns out they part of the appreciation for all things retro (think Shriners, Shag paintings or Shag paintings featuring Shriners, of which there are more than few).

I resisted as long as I could, but by high top cr7 midday Saturday, I lost control of my senses and plunked down my debit card at the Fezorama booth for a swirly red velvet number embroidered with a Moai. I even had the honor of the fez maker himself Jason Rodgers affixing a black tassel to the top.

I only had a few minutes to chat with Rodgers business at his booth in the Tiki Oasis “vendor village” was brisk, but hypervenom nike among the details he shared was the story of how he fell into this particular hat racket working on a dress pattern one day, he plopped a sleeve atop his head in a moment of silliness and was inspired. whose business plan can be summed up as “If it good enough for Groucho Marx hypervenom nike it good enough for me, is worth talking to in a little more depth.

The other fun fashion finds were the cool Tshirts being sold by Portland, Ore.based Vintage Roadside. The husbandand wife team of Jeff Kunkle and Kelly Burg (who refer to themselves on the fascinating accompanying blog as “Mr. and Mrs. Roadside”) have discovered and preserved authentic advertising images of momandpop roadside businesses that existed from the through the but have since disappeared.

But they don just appropriate the images, they meticulously research and catalog the back stories of the now defunct roadside attractions and donate a portion of each sale to the National Trust for Historic Preservation,

For example, the mermaid logo Aquarama Tshirt I bought (for Mrs. Rage) speaks to the bygone days of live underwater acts that entertained diners at an Osage Beach, Mo, attraction of the same hypervenom nike name in the 1930s, and the entry on the website compiles what information they been able to find (Kelly told me they even got a chance to interview the restaurant former “aquamaid,)

The highquality preshrunk Tshirts are worth the $20 price for the artwork alone, but in an era where the fading logos of yesteryear are so often appropriated for kitsch value alone without so much as a second thought, the added benefit of the back story makes them worth many times that.

But otherwise, great writeup! Those Vintage Roadside guys are pretty cool too. They did a vintage road trip from Portland, OR, to San Diego, visited vintage businesses along the way, and blogged about it hypervenom nike high top cr7.

Fiat 500X on the way

Hypervenom nike fiat is set to jump on the baby SUV bandwagon with the fourth member of its 500 hypervenom nike family.

The 500X will take the brand into new territory, as a rival to the MINI Countryman, and our exclusive images show how the production version will be the most ruggedlooking 500 yet when it goes on sale next year. It gets chunky wheelarch cladding, increased ground clearance and will be available with front or fourwheel drive.

Fiat has admitted that the 500X is tasked with broadening its customer base by appealing to male buyers; the 500 has a traditional female following, and the 500L is expected to as well.

Despite its tougher looks, the car will still be recognisable as a 500, with the same headlamp and taillight treatments, plus the familiar chrome badge on the nose. Flatter side windows mean some of the hatch’s cute bubblecar styling has been lost, and that combined with chunkier bumpers gives it a bolder, more solid appearance.

As with the 500L, the 500X will ride on a widened version of the Punto hatchback’s platform. This means it’ll be the same size as the MPV, which is just over four metres long, with room inside for five adults and over 400 litres of boot space. However, the load capacity could shrink slightly in fourwheeldrive models.

Fiat is no stranger to rugged, highriding cars. Its new Panda 4×4, due late this year, will use a simple hydraulic clutch system. This is fitted ahead of its rear differential, and turns the rear wheels only once those at the front lose grip. The 500X could hypervenom nike use a similar setup, which adds 100kg to the kerbweight.

The volumeselling entrylevel 500X is expected to be twowheel drive as with the base MINI Countryman offering the same rugged looks in a cheaper and more economical package.

Engines will follow the 500L’s lead, with a 93bhp 1.4litre TwinAir petrol high top cr7 likely to kick off the range. Flagship models are set to get the 104bhp 1.0litre twocylinder (the TwinAir engine has already been engineered for allwheel drive in the imminent Panda 4×4), while there will be Multijet diesels, too.

A nearproductionready 500X concept is likely to debut at next month’s Paris Motor Show, while the car is set to start at around 14,000 when it goes on sale.

Becuse, Barney, they want a good ride height, with the visibility this offers, and ease of entry. They may also want better ground clearance and daytoday convenience. I would never buy a low riding car again after having had a gloriously high seating position for the past thirteen years, but I neither need nor want four wheel drive. As for this Fiat, well, I am totally sick of the whole hypervenom nike 500 thing. I have had a number of Fiats and I lke many of their characteristics, but they used to be well engineered sensible cars which were also fun to drive, now that they have become expensive fashion statements I am not interested. I like the 500, but I am also sick of the image and all the rest that it sells by. So I won’t be getting another Fiat i’m afraid hypervenom nike high top cr7.
